• The average depth of Oneida Lake is around 22 feet. When the wind blows, waves kick up very quickly..
• Zebra Mussels invaded Oneida Lake around 1991. While water clarity has dramatically improved, the resulting decrease in plankton has brought about a decline in catchable fish species like Walleyes and Yellow Perch.

• The past few years, Oneida Lake has experienced "dead spots" (areas with virtually no oxygen in the water. It is felt this is due to the warmer lake temperatures and relatively fewer storms that "mix" up the water.
